Spoil removal and landscaping

We would like to share the remaining landscaping programme with you:

Open space on Sunningdale Road – This area has been prepared ready for landscaping to start w/c 24 November. This will include some tree planting along the boundary with London Road (where trees were previously removed to allow for the temporary construction access) and seeding of this area to grass, along with landscaping around the pond. Every effort will be made to ensure seeding takes place this side of Christmas, however if weather conditions dictate otherwise, we will ensure our landscapers return at the first suitable opportunity in the New Year. As with other remedial areas of landscaping at Kingsland Gate, this will remain under the management of our landscapers until the grass has established.

Wildflower seeding Carnoustie Drive – You will have seen an area near 11 Carnoustie Drive has recently been sprayed, cleared and prepared for wildflower seeding. Seeding will take place within the next couple of weeks. As with other areas of wildflower planting at Kingsland Gate, this area should only be mown twice a year in Spring and Autumn.

Outstanding tree planting – any outstanding tree planting at Kingsland Gate will be undertaken over the next few weeks prior to the Christmas break.

Main area of public open space – our strategy of mow/overseed/mow on the grass areas of the public open space to address the presence of perennial weeds is seeing results. This work by our landscapers will continue until we are ready to hand over to the management company.

Please note that whilst every endeavour will be made to deliver the landscaping programme to time, it is however subject to suitable weather conditions. Residents will be advised of any changes to the above should the need arise.
